Falls Creek Bike Park

Victoria, Australia

Falls Creek Bike Park has established itself as one of Australia’s must ride destinations.  With big plans afoot to make it bigger and better.

While boasting an incredible array of gravity trails, the bike park is also surrounded by endless back-country trails for all skill levels.

Grab an uplift shuttle and let us drop you at the summit.  From here choose your own adventure.  With choices ranging from the 5km Green line descent (suited to beginners), to a massive 10km descent from the summit to Howmans Gap taking in black rock tech to long blue flow.

Many local businesses supply the resort with accommodation, places to eat, spa treatments, bike hire, water play activities on the lake and more.  Centre to all this is the Village Bike Cafe.  Located in the second car park on your left as you drive up from Mt Beauty, it is the nerve centre of summer time in the mountains and a great place to start your alpine visit from.

Bike Park Stats: 21 trails
Bike Park Length: 46.5km
Back Country Trails: 150+ km (green to black)
Beginner Friendly: Yes
Bike Park Season: mid November to end April
Immediate Future: 50+ km more trails to come, including a UCI DH

Trail Map

Quite simply:  You ride down the mountain, then we pick you and your bike up in a bus and take you back to the top.  Repeat this as many times as you like from 10am to 4pm.

At Falls Creek the trail diversity means we have two pick up locations. Central village at our Bike Cafe on Bogong High Plains Road; and also down at Howmans Gap which is 6km below the resort village on Bogong High Plains Road.

We have multiple buses running non-stop, which allows you to choose your own adventure and ride wherever and whenever you like. It’s not uncommon for people to take breaks throughout the day and simply jump back on the uplift shuttles when they feel like it.

We do recommend booking in advance for two reasons: it’s $10 cheaper than the walk-in on-the-day price; and it guarantees you a spot for the day.

Shuttles are not compulsory to enjoy the bike park. You can pedal up – it’s free. Yes there is no charge to enter and ride the bike park. As a guide it would take an average rider 40-50 minutes to pedal from Howmans Gap to central village; and a further 45-60 minutes to pedal from there to the summit. It takes our vehicles approximately 20 minutes to cover this entire distance.
